Life of King Tut

There are many things known about King Tutankhamen, but only some people know about them. I will be sharing with you many things about King Tutankhamen in this research paper.

When King Tutankhamen first became the pharaoh of Ancient Egypt he was only 9 years old, so he was known as The Boy King. King Tutankhamen was a pharaoh for 9 years. It is believed that his parents were Akhenaten and Kiya, and then when he became pharaoh he married his half-sister Ankhesenamun; who was born from Akhenaten and Nefertiti. Ankhesenamen gave flowers to King Tutankhamen, while Tutankhamen gave Ankhenamen perfume. He stayed in a place called Amara for his early years, then he abandoned Amara and went to Thebes the capital of Egypt, and there he kept on with the religion and believing in his old gods.

Bob Brier author of "The Murder of Tutankhamen" thinks that all King Tutankhamen’s Decisions were from his powerful vizier, Aye. No one knows why he ran away from his childhood and religion, but they know that his marriage was a good marriage. There were objects in his tomb that showed that they had a good Marriage such as a picture.

At the age of 18 King Tutankhamen mysteriously died. His wife sent message to Hitties, Egypt’s enemies, after King Tutankhamen died. King Tutankhamen pharaoh of Egypt left no son to succeed him to the throne. His wife's elderly grandfather assumed the role of pharaoh, marrying the newly widowed Ankhesenamen, his own granddaughter. She mysteriously disappeared after the marriage.

In 1992 Howard Carter found the tomb of King Tutankhamen. King Tutankhamen was inside three golden tombs. King Tutankhamen had many physical problems, he had canes in his tomb which he had one for each time he grew in size and his back is curved. On his mummy he had a solid gold mask. Many things were found in the tomb including many gold items, also two infant female babies the reason why they were dead was because he had them with his step sister. All three of them had scoliosis, so that is how the girls died most likely.

Severe head trauma was discovered when his corpse was unwrapped, although the cause of the injury has left many people curious. Some authorities believe the injury might have resulted from an accident while others believe he was surrounded by individuals who would stop at nothing to access the throne.

Ashraf Selim leader of an International Research Team discovered what really happened to King Tutankhamen. He was riding his horse then he fell off of it and broke his left thigh on several places and got blood poisoning because of the open wound and this caused his early death. Researchers also discovered that King Tutankhamen Mother died giving birth to him.

A mysterious curse was thought to be responsible for the deaths of almost two dozen people involved with the discovery of his tomb. Anyone that tries to mess with King Tutankhamen’s tomb will die with in the next few minutes mysteriously, so they called it The Curse of King Tutankhamen. After King Tutankhamen’s tomb was open in the next two years 20 people were killed mysteriously while they were uncovering his tomb.
In closing, many things have been discovered about King Tutankhamen, yet many things are still mysteries and may never be revealed.
